A Meaningful, Rustic Smithville Inn Wedding | Chavonne & Adam

Chavonne and Adam planned A Meaningful, Rustic Smithville Inn Wedding. From all of the heartfelt details, to Chavonne’s emotional gift to Adam, to their beautiful vows – Chavonne & Adam’s day was planned full of love and laughter and joy!

Rustic Details for the Chic and Classic Bride

Chavonne and Adam set the stage for their rustic wedding with beautiful kraft wedding invitations wrapped in burlap and twine. Chavonne’s beautiful dress that she bought from Jay West Bridal was the perfect combination of classic and elegant, and fit her perfectly! She even brought along her cowboy boots to change into after the ceremony!

Getting Ready with her Ladies at the Smithville Inn

The day began with Chavonne getting hair and makeup done at the Hampton Inn, surrounded by her girlfriends, sister, mother and soon to be mother in law.  After that, she headed over to her bed and breakfast room at Smithville, where she, along with the help of her mom, sister and grandmother, put on her dress and jewelry. Chavonne’s jewelry was her something old from her grandmother.

A First Look with the Brides Grandfather, Dad & Bridesmaids

After Chavonne was dressed and ready for the day, she chose to do quite an emotional first look with her dad and grandfather.  Chavonne also had a super fun first look with her Bridesmaids. As she exited the bed and breakfast, they turned around to see her for the first time!

Getting Ready with the Guys at the Hampton Inn & Smithville Inn

Adam had a blast hanging out with his closest friends and family at the Hampton Inn, where he got dressed, before heading over to his quiet bed and breakfast room at the Smithville Inn. While in the room, Adam opened the thoughtful gifts that his soon to be wife had put together.

Chavonne’s gift to Adam was so meaningful. She gifted him a set of cufflinks that said “Love, Pop” on them. Adam’s Pop recently passed away, so to include him in their day, Chavonne took a card that Adam had received from his Pop, and had his signature – Love, Pop – engraved into a set of cufflinks for him to wear on their wedding day.

A Thoughtful Ceremony at the Historic Smithville Inn

Chavonne and Adam’s wedding ceremony began with their officiant asking each guest to pass Chavone and Adam’s rings around the room. As each member held the rings, they were asked to say a prayer or send a positive thought the way of the bride a groom.

After a few beautiful stories, and meaningful vows were said, Chavonne and Adam sealed the deal with a kiss!

Bridal Party Portraits at Smithville Inn

Historic Smithville Inn has never-ending options for portraits.  However, our favorite is the carousel!  We loved capturing Chavonne & Adams bridal party on the carousel, as well as the bridge over the lake!

The Story of Chavonne & Adam and their Proposal

In the words of Chavonne,

“Adam and I first met when we were younger, as he was best friends with my cousin. We did not realize this until we were out with coworkers (we were coworkers at the time) and connected the dots. He remembers meeting me when I worked at my old office. When we started dating, my parents separated and it was one of the most trying times in my life. I told him I understood if he wanted to step away, as it was early in the relationship, but he chose to stand by me during that time and ever since. I have known he was the one from a few weeks of dating.

He proposed to me at Cooper River after a dinner at my favorite restaurant. This was after he had attempted, for several days, and kept having his attempts turned down by me. I have wanted it for so long, but still was in disbelief as it happened. We had such a great year, as we bought our first house and got a dog as well!”

Romantic, Classic Bride and Groom Portraits at Smithville Inn

Chavonne and Adam made it so easy for us to capture their love. The gentle way he held her, to their soft kisses, there was never a dull moment – and you could honestly FEEL the love between them! There were so many cute, rustic areas around Smithville to take advantage of for their portraits.  We even had a few ducks photobomb our photos!

A Rustic, Fun Reception at the Historic Smithville Inn

Chavonne & Adam’s reception kicked off the fun with some amazing bridal party entrances that included a horse mask and even one of the bridesmaids doing one of the most impressive “worms” we’ve ever seen! The couple made their grand entrance, and then shared their first dance together as husband and wife to Kenny Chesney’s “Me and You”! This song was actually on a CD that Adam had made Chavonne when they first started dating, and would make Chavonne cry at the thought of their future and how happy it made her!

There were some funny and beautiful speeches read, and then the Bride and Groom were serenaded by a few of their close friends before dancing their night away!  We even got to end the night with a few romantic portraits of just the two of them! They really planned a meaningful, rustic smithville inn wedding!

A DIY Wedding at the Historic Smithville Mansion | Ashley & Kurt

Ashley & Kurt first met at church during a class. They sat at the same table and Kurt struck up a conversation. We didn’t see each other much after that, until they began attending community group together. From there, their friendship blossomed as they spent time together and learned more about each other. After a year of being friends, they both decided to begin the adventure of dating.

After exactly one year of dating, Kurt decided to propose in the most romantic way possible. On April 1, 2017, Kurt took Ashley to Smithville Mansion after a date of dinner and ice-cream. They walked down toward the lake at where Kurt had placed candles leading to a dock on the lake. It was there that he got down on one knee and told Ashley that he didn’t want to stop celebrating their anniversary.

A little over 9 months later, Kurt and Ashley said their I Do’s back at the Historic Smithville Mansion.  To say the day was full of love and excitement would be an understatement. It was the perfect celebration of a couple that are truly meant for one another.

A Jersey Shore Wedding at The Breakwaters | Rachel & Brad

A Jersey Shore Wedding at The Breakwaters | Rachel & Brad

When you think about the perfect day to have a beach wedding, Rachel & Brad definitely got one of those days!  They had a beautiful ceremony on the beach at 86th Street in Sea Isle City. Then, they partied the night away with their family and friends at the Breakwaters at the Dunes.

A little bit about Rachel & Brad’s love story:

While attending college, Rachel & Brad met through a mutual friend. They dated for a few years. In August of 2014, they finally moved in together in Manyunk. This past May, of 2016, they decided to take an epic vacation to one of my favorite and romantic places : Italy! It was there, while overlooking the ocean at sunset, that Brad asked Rachel to marry him. How could she not say yes?!

Rachel & Brad love vacationing down the Jersey Shore each summer, so it was a no brainer that they would get married down there as well! Enjoy the sneak peek into their gorgeous wedding in Sea Isle City at the Breakwaters at the Dunes.
